What is Base's mission when not involved in storm response?

In 2005 and continuing into 2006 following the impact of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Base Logistics has been sub-contracted by FEMA to perform monthly Preventative Maintenance Inspections and routine maintenance on over 7,000 expedient housing units that were sited beginning in 2005 to the present in the metro New Orleans area.

When we are not busy assisting customers in emergency situations, we devote our time to improving processes and customer plans to insure continued high quality service. Additionally, we conduct emergency response related seminars, work with Federal Agencies relative to emergency/non-emergency response activities, and improve our catered products through continuous research and development.
